Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

MyNutrify stores the following data locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework:

• Profile Data: Gender, age, height, weight, body fat percentage (optional), activity level, and fitness goals.
• Food Records: Food names, calorie counts, macronutrient breakdowns (protein, carbohydrates, fat), serving sizes, and timestamps.
• Exercise Records: Exercise names, duration, calories burned, and timestamps.

All of this data is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

2. Camera & Photos

MyNutrify uses your device camera and photo library for AI-powered food recognition:

• Camera images are processed in real-time and are not saved to your device or transmitted anywhere.
• Photos selected from your library are used only for food recognition and are not stored by the app after processing.
• If you use the AI Engine (BYOK) feature, selected images are sent to the third-party AI provider you have configured (e.g., OpenRouter) for analysis. We do not control how these third-party services handle your data — please review their respective privacy policies.

3. Apple Health Integration

If you choose to connect MyNutrify with Apple Health:

• The app reads body mass and height data from Apple Health to help calculate your nutrition goals.
• The app writes dietary energy, protein, carbohydrates, fat, and active energy data to Apple Health.
• Health data access is managed through Apple's HealthKit framework and is subject to Apple's privacy protections. You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings.

4. API Keys (BYOK)

If you use the AI Engine feature with your own API key:

• Your API key is stored securely in the iOS Keychain.
• The key is used solely to make API requests to the AI provider you have configured.
• We do not have access to your API key or the requests you make.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties. Data may be shared only in the following circumstances:

• AI Service Providers: When you use the AI food recognition feature with a BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) configuration, food images are sent to the AI provider you have chosen for analysis.
• Apple Health: When you enable Apple Health sync, data is exchanged with Apple's HealthKit framework on your device.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data remains on your device until you choose to delete it:

• Use the "Reset Profile" function in Settings to clear your profile data and restart setup.
• Uninstalling the app will remove all locally stored data.
• You can revoke Apple Health permissions at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.

7. Children's Privacy

MyNutrify is not intended for use by children under the age of 15. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 15.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
